The laoshan boulder is vertically oriented with various cavernous holes
throughout the stone. The rock is overall a dark green tone with various shades
of green inclusions well-polished to an unctuous, jade-like appearance and rests
on a Suzhou-type stand.
Laoshan stones from the Guangzhou province are characteristically dark green
and known for their smooth, silky surface.
